What is an MDU?
An MDU, or Multi-Dwelling Unit, is an apartment or condominium building that houses families and individuals. MDUs do not include townhomes, condo complexes, or row homes where each unit would be serviced in a similar fashion to that of a single-family dwelling.
Why is this bundle only offered to certain MDU buildings?
This offer is only available to MDU buildings because of economies of scale. An apartment building has many units in one location, which allows Execulink to serve multiple customers with a single connection. This can be more cost-effective than running separate connections to each individual home. Many apartment buildings already have existing infrastructure, such as wiring and cabling, that can be used to provide Internet service. This can reduce the cost of installation. Lastly, MDUs will usually have a central and accessible location to install equipment to connect the building to the Internet. This can reduce the time and cost of installation, maintenance, and repair.
