Jon has worked at Execulink for just over 5 years and is passionate about providing an awesome experience for customers in his role as Sales Support Representative. His friendly personality and willingness to help makes collaborating with Jon a pleasure! He has a strong understanding of Execulink and telecommunications. It was fascinating to learn more about his role and ambitions!
1. How would you describe your job to a child?
I would describe my job to a child as wearing many different hats throughout the day.
2. How would you describe your daily routine at work?
Throughout the day, I act as resource for the Sales and Customer Care departments at Execulink. In addition, I engage in communication with other telecommunication representatives.
During the morning hours, I submit the required paperwork to activate telephone numbers and cancel previous services on behalf of the customer. When Execulink’s technicians begin their work day I provide them support during their installations and services calls. Throughout the afternoon, I assist with the provision of our wholesale orders.
3. What’s one essential task that you do everyday in your work?
One of the essential tasks I do everyday is the transferring of telephone numbers to Execulink and placing service cancellations with the customer’s previous provider. When new customers activate their telephone with Execulink, I submit the required paperwork to their current provider to have their telephone activated on the day of the install. Once the installation has been completed, I submit the required paperwork to have their services cancelled with their previous provider.
4. If you could choose anyone who would you pick as your mentor? (Could be someone inside or outside Execulink.)
I would choose the Canadian economist Mark Carney. He oversaw two different financial uncertainties as the Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 during the Great Recession and the Governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020 during Brexit.
5. What’s a recent app that you’ve downloaded? Why did you download it?
A recent app that I downloaded was Yahoo Fantasy Sports. The app was downloaded to allow me to complete a fantasy baseball draft. This is a fun way to follow sports and compete with my friends and family!
