What is a Hosted Phone?
A Hosted Phone system is a cloud-based phone system that is hosted off-site. It allows you to make calls using the Internet rather than relying on copper wires or fibre optics to make a connection as many traditional analog phones do. Your phones are physically on-site, but they connect to Execulink’s secure cloud servers through a new or existing Internet connection.
How can I set up voicemail-to-email?
To set up voicemail to email, sign in to MyExeculink. Under the Phone section, select the phone number with the voicemail, then select Message Settings. From here, enter the email address of where you would like to forward voicemails. More than one email address can be entered.
What is “Find me follow me” and why is it beneficial?
FindMe/FollowMe is an Execulink hosted phone feature in which unanswered incoming calls will go to the next number in a list set up by the user. This can be set up on your MyExeculink account. It is beneficial for users who are not always in the same location as their phone line. You can configure it on your phone by pressing the following:
• *371 to turn on
• *372 to turn off
Note: If you have the FindMe/FollowMe feature, you will NOT be able to set up a simultaneous ring on that phone.
What is a Flexible Extension and what is it beneficial for?
Flexible Extension is a software-based phone client that allows customers to utilize their hosted phone service via PC or mobile app. It can be downloaded via the Google Play Store or Apple iTunes, and from MyExeculink for both phone and PC clients. It allows more flexibility to fit your needs. Each Flexible Extension softphone requires a Hosted Phone extension with Execulink to run on.
If I have no Internet, how can I get my phone calls?
You can proactively set up Unavailable Call Forwarding in MyExeculink so that calls automatically reroute to another number if their internet or power is down.
