The National Contribution Fund (NCF) is a mechanism established by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to raise funds to support Canadian telecommunications services. The CRTC has directed these funds to the Broadband Fund; created to improve broadband services to underserved communities in Canada.
The NCF Fee found on Execulink invoices is a variable percentage-based fee on eligible services, which is directed to the NCF. The Interim rate for 2021 was 0.44% on contribution eligible revenue. As of June 2022, the fee on your invoice changed to 0.46%.
Contribution Eligible services include:
- Telecommunication services (Voice, Mobility, LD, etc.)
- Retail Internet services
- Texting services
