Curtis has worked at Execulink since the summer of 2020 as a Customer Service Technician and recently joined our Planning and Implementation team as an Outside Plant Technician. You may see him out in the community in one of our Execulink trucks or he could be the one that installed your Fibre Internet, TV, and Phone services! In his spare time, he enjoys photography and he helps us document our Fibre construction by taking some awesome photos and videos.

What is your favourite memory from work?

One of the things I enjoy about Execulink is that I get to work close to both Lake Huron and Lake Erie through all the different seasons. A specific memory I have was my first winter in Port Franks down a dead end road. I set my ladder up on a hydro pole with our aerial service at 8am and climbed up to the top. I tied in with my safety harness and paused for a moment to appreciate the fresh snow falling and the smell of a wood burning stove from a house nearby while everything around me was quiet and still.

What is a common question you get from customers?

Interestingly enough, many customers tend to be curious about the technical aspects of our services and how our Fibre gets from our central office to their home. Let me tell you, it is quite an intricate process!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Over the last couple of years I’ve spent a lot of time at home, hiking, biking, or going on walks. I also love photography, concerts, and trying great coffee from different local cafés.

What led you to this career?

I’ve always had an interest in technology and how it works. I also enjoy working outside and not in an office. So, with both of those aspects combined it landed me where I am now, working with Execulink’s trunk and distribution Fibre.
